I started reading "The Artists Way" approximately a month ago, and I have been writing every day. I may not get all three pages down at one sitting, but I continue to write ithroughout the day. One thing I've noticed is that every thought comes from a place within me that is far, far, FAR away from the ego. The Higher Self is taking over and she is VERY powerful. This way of life is more appealing to me than continuously getting wrapped up and emotionally drained over situations I cannot, and do not want to, control.
The Artists Way has shown me a new way of living. I have always been a writer and have had fun writing as a past-time, yet I did not take is seriously until recently. Have you ever said something and then said, "where did that come from?" Well, that has been happenening to me a lot. I am focused on the current moment and learning from each and every interaction I have with others. The beauty of this is that I slowly, yet, methodically, focus on what I am hearing, as well as the intent behind words that the messenger is sharing with me. I do not have an emotional reaction to it; I simply observe.
Some of us are taught to react, react, react....usually with the least desirable outcome. Today, I encourage you to sit back, and simply observe what is going on around you. Release any need to have an emotional attachment to it. Simply observe and stay in your peace. If you feel the need to write down your thoughts, do it! Writing opens us up to a realm of understanding and wisdom we may not be able to attain by just simply thinking on the message. Writing is a puzzle in itself; you learn how to connect the dots between the seen and the unseen, and a great message will be revealed to you. The message is for YOU because it comes FROM you and no one can tell you if it is "right" or wrong" Writing increases your ability to trust and honor what your Higher Self is telling you and willingly become a student of your own personal truth.
Take time to write and explore life in a way that you may never have known before. Blessings, Tamara ;)
